Substack is believed to be solving this problem. That's why lot of freelance writers / bloggers / influencers are moving there.

Of course, then people will start to game the system, much more than people would do it now for likes. Each 'like' would have money implication.

I think, only a cryptocurrency like BAT or similar can solve this problem. BAT and brave browser are already solving it for websites (to an extent).

The present social media Facebook (even twitter) are tech progress black holes. They eat up all the progress by acquisition and their monopolistic practices.
