Substack is believed to be solving this problem. That's why lot of freelance writers / bloggers / influencers are moving there.

Of course, then people will start to game the system, much more than people would do it now for likes. Each 'like' would have money implication.

I think, only a cryptocurrency like BAT or similar can solve this problem. BAT and brave browser are already solving it for websites (to an extent).
