This maybe true. Back in November, @VICE reported deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon did not decrease in 2020. In fact, between August of 2019 and July of 2020, deforestation increased by 10% compared to a year ago.

Experts deemed the #Ganga river that rises in the #Himalayas and runs through India fit for drinking in 2020 with industries closed. This did not last long. Recently, the water was declared unfit for drinking but okay for bathing.
