I think Canada needs its own domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity in general. But I’m highly suspicious of a private company claiming if only they had federal money, they could have magically produced a vaccine this year. Would legit like this guy to put up the evidence. Which Canadian manufacturer had he agreed a partnership with for millions of doses of his non-existent vaccine? Where’s the factory? Who is retooling it for mRNA technology? What’s the production timeline?
There was $1.1bn+ available for domestic COVID R&D. Govt was trying to find good Canadian science to invest in, because that plays well domestically. Government messes up, people have blindspots. But if he was such a flaming slam dunk, why couldn’t generally smart people see it?
