I know this isn't a popular take, but when someone opens up about racial trauma, they still deserve to at least be heard out, even if their story is "racial trauma made me racist",. Even if you don't have systemic disadvantages, bullying can lead to trauma that's hard to undo.
African American culture in particular is a culture where people are forced to develop thick skin, but for more sensitive people or people who are easily picked out due to being a minority, it can be hard to cope if you're already part of an outgroup.
"Lade why are you defending a racist idiot bitch Lade wtf are you anti black what is this?"

No dude I'm just saying I know lots of people who used to be racist who were brought around simply by having good experiences with black people who they could relate to.
I will never be a fan of dogpiling people unless they display completely irreconcilable beliefs.
