Das EFX was the SHIT & don't let ANYONE MOTHERF&$KING BODY tell you different! I was there when "The Want EFX" dropped and that SHIT was CRAZY! From the beat, to the video to the whole "diggedy" flow which was DOPE AS F$&K when they dropped it!

Let's get this straight cause mofos try to act like that style was wack. And it MAY be wack NOW in 2021 but in 1991 that "diggedy" flow was the shit! Why do you think EVERYONE and their moms bit that ish? Cause it was wack? F&$K no it's cause it's was something new & it was dope!

When their debut album dropped "Dead Serious" was dope as hell... for me and then the remixes?!?!? The got damn remixes?!?!?

Truth be told the remix to "Mic Checka" shut down ANY ANY club, mixshow, basement hosue party, HBCU party, etc. so PLEASE don't let ANYONE else tell you different. And the Pete Rock remix to "Jusssumen?!?!?!?!?"

If ANYONE says that was wack please let me know their account so I can unfollow them RIGHT NOW! Now I KNOW their sophomore album was looked at as a sophomore slump and I get it. They deaded the whole diggedy style cause EVERYONE bit it AND the beats were subpar at BEST!

But I LOVED "Straight Up Sewaside" cause bar wise...Drayz & Scoob blacked the F&$K OUT! And THAT means A LOT coming from me who hears the beats first before the rhymes cause even with blah beats lyrically those two went off on this album!

And I STILL believe in my heart of hearts that if their 3rd album "Hold It Down" was chopped down from 22 songs to 12 that they would've had another 5 mic classic on tap cause this time around the beats were dope again AND they were STILL coming with the bars!

I mean...who the F&$K didn't like Das' "Real Hip Hop?" I remember I was at 88.9 at Morgan and the Delta's and AKA's were BOTH getting at me to make their mix for the step show and they BOTH wanted to come out to that jawn!

So even shortys who didn't care NOTHING about hip hop was LOVING that Real Hip Hop! And AGAIN the Pete Rock remix that @HEVnamedMeGRAP talked about on #Apt5B that Pete made in 15 minutes was BANANAS!

Not to mention "No Diggedy" produced by Preem was STUPID as F&$K too! So again...I don't know where folk are getting this twisted like Das were mumble rappers or they were one hit wonders but miss me with that shit cause Drayz & Scoob were dope as F&$K!

Plus these two were in the F&$KING Hit Squad who most folk will tell you was one of the dopest hip hop crews EVER! Ya'll REALLY Think EPMD would have some wack rappers running with them? Nah.

So again...before ya'll start listening to these "OG's" and "hip hop historians" ya'll better see if they even know what the F&$K they're talking about before you start buying stock in their hip hop history lessons!
