Lisa Gelobter is a Black woman in a field dominated by men (technology).
2|5 However, regardless of the racism and sexism she faced, she managed to build a list of accomplishments that is astounding. Some of her milestones include:
•Becoming Chief Digital Officer for BET.
•Joining The White House’s US Digital Services team (under President Obama)...
3|5...and redesigning the http://Healthcare.gov  website. She also worked with the United States Board of Education (developed a tool that helps students determine the rates they’ll incur while in college), Obama Foundation's Tech Council, Time’s up Tech, & The Education Trust.
4|5 •Cofounding TEQuitable, a company that fights discrimination & harassment in the workplace. Gelobter raised well $2million to assist in establishing the startup—a feat that helped her make history by becoming one of only 40 Black women to raise a million in venture capital.
5|5 Gelobter is most known for her contributions as one of the leaders behind the creation of Shockwave. Her work in digital media helped develop the Graphics Interchange Format (GIFS) and Hulu.
