"The tyranny of a prince in an oligarchy is not so dangerous to the public welfare as the apathy of a citizen in a democracy." - Montesquieu
Today is #NoPoliticsDay, but the truth is that we can never stop talking about #politics.

Apathy is not an option. Being able to walk away from political conversation when it gets heated or uncomfortable is #privilege.
Life is political when basic #HumanRights are being legislated and treated as talking points between politicians in the pockets of hidden donors with #CorporateInterests.
Immigration, criminal justice, reproductive health, climate change, and workplace protections are all "politics" that affect our world. And they disproportionately affect marginalized groups the hardest — BIPOC; the LGBTQ+ community; women and girls; the disabled community.
The system in the United States is so political, every day determining who gets the right to be able to be themselves without any repercussions. #Privilege.
We're living in an era where white supremacists can storm the #Capitol building to overturn election results and bring harm to their so-called enemies — aided by our own #GOP Congresspeople who legitimized their actions.
No thanks, #NoPoliticsDay. There is too much work to be done to be silent for the comfort of those who would rather not hear about it.
Join us — and over 600 concerned Americans — by signing your name to our petition to hold 13 GOP Senators accountable for their actions leading to the January 6 insurrection. http://bit.ly/unkochnow
