Possible alternatives for West Ham to explore incase Antonio was to get injured.

(THREAD)
It’s well documented that we’ve failed to sign a striker this window leaving us with one recognised striker at the club.

This thread aims to go over all the possible alternatives we could try incase Antonio was to pick up an injury.
1. Yarmolenko

Moyes has a history of converting our wingers into strikers (Arnie & Antonio), so it is very plausible Yarmolenko could fill in at striker. He has played CF many times in his career.

He has also scored 38 times for Ukraine along with registering 21 assists.
2. Odubeko

A promising talent from our academy, the fans have been calling for Odubeko to receive more game time in Premier League matches.

He has impressed at youth level, scoring 14 times with 3 assists across U18s and U23s level, playing 10 games.
3. Bowen

Similar to Yarmolenko, Bowen naturally plays out wide but has also played as a striker before for Hull City.

He was the Championship top scorer before we signed him, so it is plausible that Bowen could be a temporary option up front with the record to back it up.
4. Lingard

A Claret & Hugh article stated that Lingard at false nine may be an option that can be explored as other clubs have done the same thing, according to Moyes.

Lingard is coming to us to prove a point to OGS, whatever it takes, and hopefully his quality can show here.
Benrahma

Benrahma could be explored as a false 9, similar to Lingard, or as a striker, which he has played before in his career at various points.

However, it is most likely that Benrahma would continue playing in attacking midfield to help support the frontman.
Hope this thread was informative. I’m not an expert and not all of this is guaranteed, but it’s just an insight into what we could do incase our star man got injured.
