(3/9) The bottom 3 defensive rated teams in the 19-20 were good examples for even though they were top 10 in not allowing 3 point attempts because they were bottom 5 in opponent points in the paint they were a bad defense.

-Blazers were league worst at allowing teams to shoot 37.9% on above the break 3’s. 37.9% would rank 9th this year

-Instead of coming off ball screens and shooting a contested midrange, teams now set the ball screen higher and look for 3’s when the big drops in the paint

Instead of shooting contested lay ups, teams are looking to take advantage of 2v1 on the backside of actions

(9/9) Obviously teams figuring out how to get more open 3PA and making 3’s at a record pace is a perfect storm against teams with packing the paint defensive principles!
