Every week now I'm stumbling upon a new, rapidly growing female influencer focusing her content on hate/negativity, especially towards other women in the industry.

It's been a guy's domain so far, but it was only a matter of time before they raised a new generation of creators.
While this alone is enough to be worried about, it bothers me even more - because I feel if not for my environment, friends and few lucky coincidences in my life so far, I'd be the same.

I used to easily drop down internet's holes of hate, and believe them, because it was easy.
Empathy isn't easy. Overcoming differences, accepting that people have different backgrounds or experiences is a neverending lesson. It's the ability to acknowledge your own shortcomings and mistakes you've made.

It's easier to have "an attitude" and gain support for it.
People get radicalized because that's their environment - these days, mostly online. Algorithms, recommended vids, recommended people to follow. You jump into it once - it's hard as hell to get out.

But I've seen cases of people who got back from it, and that gives me hope.
No idea what's the cure - and if there is an universal one - but I can't stress this enough: support people who support others.

It's so much more productive than hating on those who hate others. Even though it's tempting sometimes, it changes nothing.

Focus on the good.
