A Tactical Cam: Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka was very involved in both phases of Manchester United’s build-up and progression phases from the right flank.

He was economical with the ball allowing MUFC to recycle and progress — attempted 18 forward passes and completed 13.
AWB’s performance was a well rounded one — he was extensively occupying high territory both sides of the pitch, penetrating the opposition half and stretching their backline:

You can see his proactivity in how he was involved in buildup in the central areas of the pitch.
Taking a closer look at his passing combinations — he had the highest sum of passes to/from Pogba.

This was a result of Pogba’s switches when at LW — and link-up when shifted to RCM.

This gave Manchester United significant balance from the right.
EXAMPLE:

Having Rashford as RW to hold width grants AWB more involvement to invert to midfield and occupy the half-spaces through the construction of triangles.

He makes a third-man run into space, receives and then makes an excellent ground cross.
AWB’s off the ball movement was the most fundamental to his excellent performance.

This came in the form of both run and overlaps that dragged Arsenal’s fullbacks that created space and/or allowed him to receive to cross.

This gave #MUFC dynamism in the final third.
EXAMPLE:

I: AWB makes a blind-side run into the space in Arsenal’s back-line — exploiting the gaps, allowing MUFC more players in the box, positioning himself to receive the cross well.

II: Again, another run exploiting Arsenal’s blind-side that led to a shot on target.
Finally — his defensive actions. A significant number of his tackles, interceptions and challenges came from the opposition half.

Again, this added value to his presence, allowed Manchester United to sustain the pressure of their attacks and *most importantly* stopped turnovers.
EXAMPLE:

I: AWB tackles the ball here which allows Manchester United to regain possession high up the pitch. Proactivity.

II. Again — AWB tackles the ball here which forces a turnover, allowing Manchester United to transition quickly.
AWB had a very good performance and this was not just a result of his technical skillset but rather his proactivity off the ball.

Having players such as Pogba/Rashford in the right flank would aid AWB’s deficiencies in buildup — and his progress has been significant.

END.
