• A ridiculous athlete at the IDL position.
• Disruptive against both the pass and the run.
• Versatility to do whatever he wants, wherever he wants.

Nixon’s athleticism really stands out in the run game. He’s not your classic two gapper but he has no problem mirroring running backs and meeting them in the hole. Even when he makes mistakes, his athleticism keeps him in plays.

When was the last time you saw a defensive tackle peal off into coverage then collapse on a quarterback for a sack all in the same play?

As a rusher, Nixon works best in stunts. Not only as the beneficiary but also as the clear out man. He’s had some instances of grown man-ing people.

I’ll be the first to say that Nixon isn’t exactly a fit for what the Patriots do or need at the position. He is however the best DT in the class and can instantly contribute. As we've seen in the past couple of years, Bill Belichick loves an athletic and versatile defender.
