1. Co-Host 3 sessions so that you can apply to create a club. Wait times right now are 6 weeks. Think of this as the place where all your shows live
2. Choose a club based around a theme where you can host many topics. Like.. Going Inward - ice baths, meditation, breathwork, psychedelic medicines, and building businesses in the wellness space. Here is another show example: @rzurrer @CUlstrup https://www.joinclubhouse.com/event/PADAWRaA
3. Create weekly radio shows around something you can easily talk about and are interested in. Set the topic for the same time each week to create a routine for listeners. Just like a radio show.
4. Share your show links with your community. It’s a great way to allow your newsletter readers, podcaster listeners, even customers from your physical business to chat about a specific release or event. Easier than Zoom.
5. Use twitter and your email newsletter to bootstrap your audience. Send a tweet in advance and a tweet afterwards summarizing the convo to create future interest. Learned this from @m_franceschetti @eightsleep.
6. Record your clubhouse sessions and put them on a landing page. Make use of the content you’re creating. This can be used to eventually bootstrap a podcast.
7. Find people with big followings and invite them to your room. When people with large followings join, their followers are notified
8. In your description, you can include a lot of text — use emojis, share what you’re an expert in so you get invited to more rooms, include info for DM’s because they're not available on Clubhouse yet. Use keywords in your blurb to become more searchable.
9. Include a border around your photo to stand out from the crowd in conversations (this way more people will look at your profile). Choose a captivating picture
10. Don’t talk about “product promotion” - teach people about something or tell personal stories. Think about what makes a great podcast
11. Let the audience jump in. People want to engage. There are already podcasts about everything you could want to listen to at 2x speed. Clubhouse is for group engagement and more serendipity. Amplify that with multiple cohosts and questions
12. Have good moderators - cut people off if they are rambling. You want to keep people engaged. An hour commitment is huge. Think about what questions are interesting in advance
13. Actively participate in other rooms to build your following. If you want to cohost with me on a topic above or have ideas for a show, DM's are open!
