Order gives you Clarity =
Ordered place means ordered thoughts.

👇
(A Thread on Order, Chaos, and Creativity)
Order keeps your environment under control.

Order takes time but saves you even more time.
A cluttered space is distracting.

Yet keeping things in order can be an ordeal for the most creative minds.

Because the artist's mind thrives in chaos.
Chaos estimulates creativity because it messes with your feelings of safety.

You get more new ideas as you look at at an ever changing disordered place.
So, we have people who dislike clean, orderly spaces.

They think these places are unnatural and eerie (because cleanliness is artificial. Look around nature. Chaos reigns and Order is it's equilibrium byproduct)
So to make themselves more comfortable, these people can even throw away a dirty sock over the designer lamp in front of your horrified face.
I can't blame them because that's how their minds operate.

Although I won't do the sock throwing (that's rude and nasty), I enjoy some chaos while I create.
But it's important to keep your environment clean and organized when you are not creating.

It'll make you feel safe and improve your wellness and self-esteem.
For those who find inspiration in chaos (myself included), my advice is to control the mess.

How? Right after your creative session, clean your working area.

Then next time you create, you'll have an empty canvas the size of a room for your own messy pleasure.
Alternating between ordered places for clarity and chaotic places for creative sprints is a hack.

Pick after yourself though. Organizing will make you feel at peace.

Be careful with chaos: too much will numb creativity.

The perfect spot is to stand by the edge of Chaos.
