1) Thoughts on Clubhouse's future - The first generation of social media platforms were about creating the digital identities. Everyone started from zero and rose up through the ranks to accumulate their own traffic.

The second generation of social media platforms is BYOT
2) BYOT - bring your own traffic. The digital identities are set but the platforms will help you monetise, which is a pain point left previously unaddressed.

In the age of the sovereign individual aka creator economy. An individual is a business, the back office is now software
3) 2nd Social media platforms will have to interface with individuals like businesses, helping them with additional SaaS tooling and transaction features.

As soon as one platform does this, everyone else will have to keep up since that platform will accrue the creators
4) As soon as Clubhouse starts rewarding their creators in-platform through either ticketing or donations and essentially keep the entire purchase funnel in-app. The calculus will tip in their favour.

This pattern has already happened with creators in China.
5) TikTok is an interesting case since it is a hybrid of both 1st and 2nd. It's hitting the teenage demographic where stars can still be made (and teens are looking for a new platform) but also working to capture the full monetisation cycle with working with Walmart.
6) But once they get that entire monetisation process done, that's the first shot for the rest of the social media to adapt or die.
