MINI-THREAD on Patriotism:

2) The GOP wants you to believe they are the party of 1776, but when their white supremacist messiah lost badly to Joe Biden, they stomped on the cornerstone of our Democracy, attemptin' to overthrow a free election and wage war against a peaceful transfer of power.
3) The "1776 Party" became more like the British army of 1814 that attacked and burned our nation's capitol. If you watched this abomination play out live on national television, you probably saw the scene where a group of MAGA rioters commandeered a window-washer platform.
4) They used it to capture the American flag flyin' high on the side of the Capitol and replace it with a Trump flag, an symbolic icon that wasn't lost on anyone that's ever drawn a deep breath of freedom.
5) Here, in this one clear moment, they showed us who they really are: traitors. They don't love America, they love POWER! Never forget this is the same miserable mob that stood stone silent while Dear Leader let Vladimir Putin place bounties on the heads of our brave troops.
6) When someone shows you who they are, believe 'em. Republicans no longer have any claim to patriotism or love of country. There's an old sayin' that applies here: "Don't listen to what they say. Watch what they do." <eot>
