I want to ask #BroncosCountry a serious question - when Drew Lock was drafted, DEN fans were doing backflips.
When he was drafted, it was widely reported that Drew would be a work in progress and would need development. Did everybody think he was going to come in and Mahomes it?

The #Broncos plan in 2019 was to redshirt Drew behind Joe Flacco (obviously that didn’t happen) - but Drew got in earlier than planned and showed some flashes. Did that skew everybody’s evaluation of where Drew should have been?
Let’s say Denver has a similar approach under Paton as the GM if they draft a QB this year - are your expectations for a rookie QB going to be instantaneous success or are you going to be patient with development week to week?
At the end of the day: Drew has to continue to improve as a QB and player in the NFL. It’s up to him and the coaching staff around him to elevate and challenge him. You don’t just discard after an actual year and a half of play because it isn’t happening fast enough.
As somebody who covers the team: it’s wildly toxic seeing the fanbase split how they are. The topic shouldn’t be divisive, but should encourage deeper discussion, factual-unemotional debate.
Hoping fans can do this going forward.
