Its easy to denounce white supremacists.
Its easy to shame them socially.
Its easy to dehumanize them individually by association with their chosen ideology and activism.

But you must understand that every oppressive government in history exploited that ease for oppression.

Target a group universally opposed and it becomes much easier to widen the official definition of who belongs to that group to more effectively stamp out any opposition to your authority.

Anyone can be accused of being a white supremacist by the government.

What progressive advocates refuse to recognize is that its not about the content or the target group itself but the power given to the government that is the issue at hand.

Let the gov legally deny civil rights to white supremacists and its easy for *YOU* to be labeled one.

In their arrogance they believe this cannot be a threat to anyone who isn't already guilty.

But they cannot understand or see how easily they could be targeted using this same legal argument.

Its simple to them. Just don't be a white supremacist.

Always short-sighted.
