for BHM i'd like to bring up EA's new Skate studio & how modern skate culture owes a lot to Lupe Fiasco's Kick Push, the Pharrell-BAPE-Ice Creams ecosystem & OFWGKTA

maybe im speaking from my lil kneegrow bubble but i remember the stark demographic difference among skateboarders before Kick Push & after Kick Push; the feedback loop of Black kids wearing Bape/Ice Creams, skating & white kids wanting to wear BAPE/Ice Creams, skating /+
specifically bc it was a thing Black kids were doing & things Black ppl do were cool (bc the concept of cool is primarily defined by Black ppl & if you disagree then what is it like being incorrect so often?)

so back to EA i hope they make a skate game tht reflects modern skate culture & isnt another reflection of yt 80s skaters. current skateboarders are probably only familiar w one 'Breakfast Club' so when i think of tht studio:
