A little reminder for the Twitter bubble today about who @joannaccherry is: she was out campaigning for equality for decades before some of these shadowy critics were on the scene, very active in repealing Section28; she was always fighting for the underdog as a lawyer, taking on
Legal Aid cases when her colleagues were taking far more lucrative ones; being a Catholic and a lesbian was no walk in the park in the prejudiced 1980s when coming out could mean losing your job; I admire her so much for all this and her work as a prosecutor in the Sex Crimes
Unit. Most of all, I know her to be a person of great integrity, a seeker of truth and justice, and a wonderful sister, friend, daughter, Auntie to my boys, sister-in-law and partner. What has happened to her today is unforgivable after all her hard work and success for her party
Your accusations against her are simply incorrect @theSNP
