Tableau Public Ideas 
Yesterday I mentioned that I was hoping for a complete overhaul of @tableaupublic. I doubt that will happen, but here's my entire list of things I hope Tableau Public will implement/get rid of.

Get rid of VOTD
Why? This is company focused and not community focused. Tableau single handily decides who gets it, even if it's not indicative of what the COMMUNITY is viewing/favoriting. Implement an Explore/Discover instead. Badge next to viz that Tableau wants to promote*

Add comments to projects
Pretty much the only thing you can do on Tableau Public is view and favorite. There's no abilities for communicating between different users.

Collections
Many other portfolio websites have ways to group your favorite projects together. This is great for inspiration and is a nice way to stay organized.

Get rid of activity
The activity section is pretty clunky IMO. Instead add a 'For You' Section. One thing I don't like about Activity is that it only promotes new work. If someone posts something new that should be at top. But it will also promote older work.

Blog section for users
Tableau Public does have a 'Blog' main tab, but it's only for whatever Tableau feels like promoting. Instead I think users should have a 'Blog' tab of their profile. Now users can create their own blogs and others can view them.

Insights
An insights tab would be great so you can view not only things you've received (views/favorites), but more importantly how much you've shown appreciation to others. By showing this it tells the users showing love for others work is an important aspect of the platform.
