So, I’ll be honest. I think in terms of personnel and style, Southampton would’ve been a nice fit to help Billy develop.

Getting the appropriate game time there would be a whole other dilemma.
They seem quite settled on having that JWP-Romeu central. Although, Hasenhuettl is brilliant at nurturing the younger players and easing them into the side. It could’ve been a decent fit.

Nevertheless, I’m very happy that Billy will stay.
He’s 19, sure, but he adds so much quality to this side. Blessed with natural talent. Has such a calmness and composure about him, despite his tender age. You simply cannot teach that gift.

I adore the idea of him under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
I really think the sky is the limit for the man. I have that much faith. Age is debunked when you’re simply that quality. If you’re good enough, you’re good enough. I’m sure Tuchel feels the same.
