If I could give any advice to streamers, is that your streams are not your safe space. They are public forum.

If you suffer from trauma or mental illness, streaming is not the place to work through it. Pre-planning and boundaries must be set to keep yourself and others safe.
Streaming can certainly help build a sense of purpose, income and community but that must come second to personal safeguarding before putting oneself into the public space.

Streaming is a choice and therefore there are responsibilities. It cannot be treated like a private party.
Additionally, moderators (who are often unpaid volunteers) should never be left to deal with fallout and defending a streamer's integrity because safeguarding measures were not considered.

Thinking about and taking steps early will be a huge blessing in the long run.
