Alongside this we need an urgent plan to reunite families and allow care home visits to safely start again. It is unacceptable to keep relatives apart from their loved ones for so long, especially when families are so crucial to the health of care home residents.

And we need a clear route map for vaccinating remaining 970k social care staff by mid Feb inc 715k domiciliary care staff who provide care in people’s own homes. Ministers must leave no stone unturned to ensure all take-up issues amongst staff are urgently addressed (ENDS)
