1/ #ROAMCULT GAMES OF THE PRIESTLY CLASS AND THE LAITY

It's brilliant. #ROAMCULT may have found the way to prevent a community from actually being a cult: facetiously being a cult!

But there's a thing no community could prevent: being a tribe.

Thus we have (two) tribal games.

2/ There's a part of us which can't avoid playing tribal games: System 1 (cf. Thinking, Fast and Slow)

What helped me operationalize this is the stallion & rider model http://stallionrider.com 

If your stallion is with its troop, gameplay is automatic. So choose your troop well!

3/ It is hard to find a troop better than #roamcult. In all my years in the internet, I haven't met a group more open, erudite and nice than #roamcult!

I'm really curious what led to this. I hope a pro studies this community. I'm just enjoying this and hoping this will last.

4/ A piece of software brings this community together. The god of this tribe is code.

The priestly class are thus the mediators between The Code and #roamcult: programmers.

5/ The game for the priestly class is different from that of the laity.

The more coders commune with The Code, the more they win the game.

The laity reaches a point of diminishing returns. This is because The Code is not our main game.

6/ If I were a coder, I'd also see a linear progression of value from basic to advanced features and plugins. I only have upside in keeping up with the cutting edge. My priestly powers and reputation increase with my creations, whether or not they are incorporated into The Code.

7/ Most of us are in the priestly class of other tribes, but are laity in #roamcult. The effort of following new shiny things would only distract us from the main games we are playing.

8/8 The Roaman laity need to support the Roaman clergy though. We only get nice toys if the priestly class continue playing their game. The more coders we have playing the game, the better. So pay your tithes! @RoamBounties
