Football is just all around a weird sport. It’s the one major American sport that you can’t really just play unorganized games to get better at (you could argue baseball but I mean go to a sandlot and hit or pitch your stuff? Idk anything about baseball lol)
Yet it also provides a team with soooo many minute-to-minute decisions during a game. And the fact that there are limited games amplify the value of every decision. That’s why I have this hypothesis that Football Coaches are the most important coaches in sports.
Simply cause they are the most involved on gameday. baseball coaches are important, and there’s a ton of minutiae and game management, but it’s not like football. The same with basketball and soccer. Football is really unique in that a coach can win or lose the game on GAMEDAY.
I’ll stop talking to myself on this Twitter app right after I say this. Quarterbacks don’t matter as much as you think. Speed kills and is important. Run more Pistol. Stubbie over Stump. Talent>Scheme. And pay good players lol
