Minister for Creative Industries, @DannyPearsonMP, now joins us to announce the winners. #vpla2021
First, the People’s Choice Award goes to @milliganreports for her work of non-fiction, Witness: An Investigation into the Brutal Cost of Seeking Justice ( @HachetteAus). #vpla2021
For her book The Animals in That Country ( @scribepub), @LauraJeanMcKay receives the Prize for Fiction. #vpla2021
The Prize for Non-Fiction is awarded to @gpaddymanning for Body Count: How Climate Change is Killing Us ( @simonschusterau). #vpla2021
For his play Wonnangatta ( @sydneytheatreco), Angus Cerini receives the Prize for Drama. #vpla2021
The Prize for Poetry goes to @DavidStavanger for Case Notes ( @uwapublishing). #vpla2021
For Metal Fish, Falling Snow ( @text_publishing), Cath Moore is awarded the Prize for Writing for Young Adults. #vpla2021
For his memoir, Tell Me Why: The Story of My Life and My Music ( @simonschusterau), @ArchieRoach receives the Prize for Indigenous Writing. #vpla2021
The Unpublished Manuscript Award goes to Anam by @andrehuydao. #vpla2021
Finally, the overall prize – Australia’s richest single literary award, the Victorian Prize for Literature.

This year’s winner is The Animals in That Country ( @scribepub) by @LauraJeanMcKay! #vpla2020
