Okay hear me out: I was on lower wacker & there was no snow. Perhaps we could put a roof over all the roads in Chicago & maybe put parks & green spaces where local bird, plant, etc species can flourish
Or possibly another solution is to heat the roads. I’ve seen ppl w heated driveways so maybe we can just heat all the roads then send the runoff water to places that are dry & need it like California or the Sahara or something. I’m sure they’d be happy to get some fresh water
Or maybe we can send the fresh water runoff into the ocean & after a while it will turn the oceans into fresh water & ppl can just drink that & use it to put out fires in California too
Okay I think I got it here. Two layers. Top layer open air for parks & growing fresh produce for community. Second layer greenhouse type deal so we can grow produce not typically suitable in Midwest (ie citrus fruits etc)
Lower level for cars & public transit. This would turn chicago into a model of urban development like it was back in the day. @chicagosmayor @JBPritzker plz read I think this could be big
