in regards to shidou and mahiru in milgram
voting shidou guilty will just leave his character at a stand-still and he won't reanalyze his situation and continue to believe he was always an awful person, even before his crime.

voting to forgive him, on another hand, will lead to him being confused, and forced to re-evaluate his former environment and where everything "went wrong". it's implied that his victim wasn't all that good; he NEEDS to be forced into looking at his past in a different light
saying forgive mahiru, on the other hand, will normalize her toxic view on love. taking someone down with her until they are "drowning", is really not healthy. however, it is very clear that mahiru doesn't seem to realize that this is a bad mindset
as much as i love mahiru, she does need this guilty/not forgive vote. she needs to realize that while doing things for the sake of love isn't a bad thing, her actions for it are really not good. she needs to evaluate her perception of love and realize what she can do to fix it
i am begging you all, just because you see a character you dont like getting the innocent vote, or a character you like getting the guilty vote, it is not because of "simping" or "haters".
people genuinely want to watch the characters to grow, look back on their actions, and see if the characters can change.
and if you don't want to see characters change, then i guess that's a you problem. that's all that i can say to it honestly.

because seeing how people are reacting to these trials, on top of fuuta and mu's trials is fucking frustrating to watch, quite frankly.

okay this is gaining a lot of traction again so i just wanna say if you still dont feel inclined to vote like this because of other reasons thats fine but just like. understand people are voting a lot moreso for storytelling purposes ok nice
also everything can change in the next trials . theyre not gonna die if they get guilty in this trial, guys. others just want to force more info out thats all thats literally it if shit gets worse for shidou ill gladly vote guilty at the last trial and same if mahiru improves
