Learning to accept the fact other successful trans women are going to make me jealous has helped me deal with it. And learning how to mellow the fuck out toward other trans fems
For trans girls in particular it’s sort of like a cycle. Look up to trans girls —> transition —> see other trans girls as competition —> act mean toward them —> cross a line so bad it forces you to self-reflect —> choose whether to mellow out or keep traumatizing other girls
Gotta break the cycle and stop looking to knock some bitches down a peg.
The sad part though is like, you can’t just yell your way through this. At some point you have to accept other girls are going to run around and mess up others’ days, and your job is to be the stabilizing force others can count on to treat everyone with compassion and empathy
The immediate and incorrect solution is to just ostracize people who like ostracizing people. That’s just perpetuating the problem. In reality you gotta learn how to create boundaries, cultivate your own values, and disengage with people who don’t respect you
