After taking some time to let the dust settle, I want to take a moment to speak on the events of this past week/weekend. A healthy organization requires participants that understand their role and strive to maximize their potential, both as an individual and as a collective.
No one role is more important than any other. Much as a living organism requires each cell to execute its duties, an organization requires each person to play their part. This doesn't mean everything is always smooth sailing or everyone is always in complete agreement.
This does, however, mean that everyone shares the same goals and desires for what they want to see out of the organization. To improve every single day. To strive for excellence, and to expect the best out of yourself and your team, no matter the circumstances.
I believe we have the talent and infrastructure necessary to accomplish whatever we collectively feel would best impact the youth of the world, starting here at home. Young people are the future leaders of our Earth and we will not settle for the "status quo" any longer.
Young people WILL create a more just and equitable society. We WILL demand an economy that works for EVERYONE. We WILL construct a nation we can ALL be proud to call home. The sky is no longer the limit, we are on our way #tothemoon. The Youth Government is about to #gobrrrrrr.
