Don't apologize for enjoying things. If you love something no matter how superfluous or stupid it may seem you should pour your heart and soul into it. Give yourself over to loving things and always put yourself out there.

When I used to work with disabled youth i had a particular client & all this kid wanted in life was to be a rock star but do to limitations from his disability he couldn't play an instrument or sing, lol honestly he couldn't even keep time with a song but he sure thought he could
He was like if someone covered William Hung in ants. The harsh reality was that his dreams were literally impossible and it was heartbreaking. One day randomly we got him the video game Rock Band. That night him and I dressed up like hair metal dudes from the 80's and rocked out.
We were head banging and being dorks playing that game till he had to go to bed. I thought nothing of it. Just another night goofin off. As I was tucking him in & getting his room cleaned he told me he couldn't wait to tell everyone at school he had finally done it.
He was a rock star.
Be unapologetic about what you enjoy and maybe you won't get exactly what you want but I truly believe if you love hard enough and long enough you will eventually have a moment where you can feel like a rock star too.
