We are going through this year's data drop of political donations. Here are some of the things we have found so far

Mining magnate Trevor St Baker's company donated $25,000 to the Liberal Party while its (successful) application for a $8,700,000 government grant to upgrade its coal plant was going through the department. #auspol

Nine Entertainment donated $27,500 to the Liberal Party. Nine's hosted a $35,000 fundraiser for them, Peter Costello is the Chair, they benefited from the Liberal’s media deregulation laws. Isn't this news org supposed to hold govt to account? #auspol

The big four consulting firms – PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst & Young donated $208,869 - to Coalition in the 19/20 FY. They booked around $600,000,000 in federal Government contracts over the same period. Good return on investment. #auspol

Pratt Holdings (Visy) donated an eye-watering $1.6 million to Coalition parties. You may recall Richard Pratt from the box factory launch that brought Trump + Morrison together in Ohio. The govt’s recycling export ban was also crafted in a way to help Visy industries. #auspol
