Google are NOT an all powerful conglomerate who controls the internet.

Anyone can use the internet and NEVER EVER use a Google product or visit a Google site.

Right now, for everything that Google does, there are at least 10 alternatives. Many are better than Google.

The policy challenge is that digital literacy in Australia is so low that for most, Big-Tech appear like demi-gods.

Truth is, using the internet without Google, means learning how.

But how many people are willing and able to do this?

There are many ways to control the influence of Big Tech in Australia.

One is digital literacy education.
Two is taxing revenue, not profits.

None include legislation that forces Big Tech to pay some other company/sector for the privilege of content.
