. @PajaroValleyUSD meeting to consider reinstatement of fired superintendent Michelle Rodriguez is now live

Trustees will also consider replacing the current board president, who some have alleged led the effort behind Rodriguez's ouster.
And it starts with a bombshell: Trustee president Acosta said she has been receiving death threats, and plans to rescind her vote to fire Rodriguez.

So will Oscar Soto he says.
Dodge Jr. also said he will rescind his vote, which he said was a mistake and apologized for the “nontransparent process” around it.

Schacher had already said she plans to rescind, so that woupd set Rodriguez’s reinstatement up for unanimous support.
Now we wade through more than 100 public comments.

A number urging the board to have the discussion around Rodriguez’s reinstatement in an open session. Many supportive of Rodriguez and at least a few critical so far.
Most comments are supportive of Rodriguez, but more are critical compared to Friday.

Caveat there: Essentially all critical comments are submitted anonymously or without a full name attached, making them harder to verify. Here's an example.
All 9 superintendents from other Santa Cruz County school districts wrote a letter in support of Rodriguez, urging her reinstatement so she "can provide much needed leadership and stabilize" the district.

Here's a copy, which we obtained earlier today.
Lots of questions raised about the attorney who advised the board last week, who works at a law firm retained by the district but is not PVUSD's usual legal counsel.

I've reached out to the attorney and board president Acosta seeking clarity on why/how that was the case
