The rollout of the vaccination has been a national success, you can say that;

the credit for that includes all the hard work of those from many different professions, saying that is not letting the government off the hook for mishandling of the pandemic

Nowhere does it suggest the government are doing “a great job” overall but the collective efforts of the NHS, professionals, scientists, volunteers and all others organising the deliveries, has been a success and should be praised.
