Here's a hot and fresh #NYGRebuild on this lazy, cold Sunday. This is a LONG thread, but I strove to provide explanations and I showed my work.

First thing we have to do is make some cuts.
Cuts:
Nate Solder
Kevin Zeitler
Golden Tate
Levine Toilolo
David Mayo
Isaac Yiadom
Cody Core
This gives us this much cap space:

I plan on aggressively using 2022 cap space here. Why? Because I believe Daniel Jones' last chance should be his best chance. Be aggressive. A lot of these contracts I make will allow the team to get out of the contract by 2023, allowing for some flexibility
Let's re-sign some of our own. I am giving Leonard Williams a 4 year, $76 million deal with $20 million signing bonus and $45 million guaranteed. That averages to $19 million/year and is the 4th highest contract for 3-4 DE.
I'm also going to re-sign Dalvin Tomlinson. Dalvin Tomlinson will get a 4 year, $52 million deal with $33 million guaranteed, including a $20 million signing bonus. $13 million/year is in the Javon Hargrave range but he’s getting a top 10 number in guaranteed dollars.
Next, I'm going add some new blood. Let's sign Haason Reddick. I am giving Haason Reddick a 5 year, $75 million deal with $39 million guaranteed and a $15 million signing bonus.
I'm going to go for broke and double up. I am also giving Leonard Floyd a 5 year, $80 million deal with $40 million guaranteed and a $10 million signing bonus.
Our cap space is now tight
The Giants now have approximately $3.5 million left for smaller moves (after taking away the roughly $6.5 million needed for the draft). If you restructure Graham Gano or Sterling Shepard, you can give them about $10 million in space for smaller moves.

After really investing in the defense in free agency, it's quite clear where the focus on the draft is headed.
Here is how I see the top 10 shaking out:
Here is how I see the top 10 shaking out:
#11 - Jaylen Waddle, WR Alabama
Over Kyle Pitts, despite Pitts having a rarer skillset. I do not believe we give up on Evan Engram as their “move” TE. You can make the argument that Pitts is a WR.

I think when you look at what Waddle’s two biggest abilities are: Game breaking speed AND ball tracking AND body control, there’s very few players like that with those abilities. Desean Jackson comes to mind. Tyreek Hill is obvious too. Waddle is a scheme transcendent player.
#43 Trey Smith, OG Tennessee
Had it not been for injury, Smith was probably a top 3 OL player in this draft. I would slot him in at right guard to take over for Kevin Zeitler and you have a player who fits DG’s “hogmollie” profile at 6-5, 331 lbs but also can move.

#75 Seth Williams, WR Auburn
I am a believer in cluster drafting. I think the draft is a crapshoot and I think if you really want to improve a position and make a weakness into a strength, you have to invest. So I’m investing in Darius Slayton’s former teammate.

Williams is a big bodied, 50/50 monster that gives the Giants something they lack in the red zone as well as a sure handed possession receiver on the outside to help Sterling Shepard out on 3rd downs.
#115 Kylin Hill, RB Miss St
I am letting Wayne Gallman go in free agency. As an avowed Gallmanite, this hurts but he should get a chance to compete somewhere. Kylin Hill is a no-nonsense, well built player with great contact balance (my favorite trait) and very good vision.

#192 Marco Wilson, CB Florida
Undoubtedly the biggest hole in the roster with this rebuild is CB2. I don’t think Wilson will fill that hole but he’s the type of player you gamble on in the 6th. He’s got length with average athleticism and wasn’t beaten very often.

#197 Carlo Kemp, DL Michigan
Kemp was overshadowed (for good reason) by Kwity Paye but was productive and flashed a few times when I was watching Paye. I have no idea if this is good “value” for him, but as an undersized player, he’d essentially replace RJ McIntosh as DE depth.

I am personally a big believer in attacking your weaknesses and forming them into strengths.
Let's start with free agency. Two EDGE players seem like overkill with Lorenzo Carter and Oshane Ximines, but from what I see, Reddick and Floyd are perhaps the best fits for Pat Graham

Both are scheme diverse players that can set the EDGE, provide diverse strengths as pass rushers (Reddick with speed-to-power and Floyd with his bend and length) and are moveable chess pieces that are athletic enough to drop into coverage.
What about ILB? I am actually a fan of Tae Crowder. I'm also a bigger fan of moving Lorenzo Carter inside and giving him some snaps there next to Martinez.
I think Carter's biggest issue is that he's a run and chase LB, but if Martinez can keep him lined up well, it'll be a good fit. Don't forget Jabrill Peppers lines up plenty at LB as well. The Giants have options.
I didn't really address CB at all. You've got Julian Love, Darnay Holmes, and Logan Ryan all lining up across from James Bradberry. The hope for me is that with a revamped EDGE group, the back end may be able to hold up better.
With a weapon group of Saquon Barkley, Jaylen Waddle, Evan Engram, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, and Seth Williams, you have to hope and pray that Daniel Jones can be good enough to get you to the playoffs.
