Summary:
Jungkook, the main vocalist of BTS, is the only member to NOT have released his own single/mixtape, receive his own intro for an album, or receive a solo music video.
Many may argue
-jk doesn’t want to release his own music
-he’s not ready, he’s insecure
-he just wants to make music with his hyungs
-stop pushing him and “listen to his own words”

I’m going to disprove all these ridiculous narratives and explain why jk wants his own solo work!
Let’s start with the fact that Jk has mentioned wanting to release his own mixtape for years now!! Which is why his fanbases are raising funds in preparation. So why the need to question his own words and act like a mixtape is not coming or is “hypothetical?”
In fact, we know that that jk has created music for jjk1
-he released a snippet of ‘Decalcomania’ on twt
-‘Your Eyes Tell’ was originally meant for JK’s mixtape but released on BTS’ Japanese album
-‘Stay’ was another song meant for jjk1 but used for the BE album

Media sources:
I’ve created a compilation of some moments where jk has mentioned releasing his own mixtape, starting from May 2018:
Just because he hasn’t released his mixtape YET doesn’t mean he doesn’t want his own music! He’s perfecting his music! He wants it released!
Read his actual words!!

Jungkook’s Note from the BE album:
“As for my mixtape, I want it to be perfect....so it keeps on getting delayed”
Also, us publicly supporting and wishing for jjk1 is what he wants!! It’s not pressuring him! Again, read his own words:
(Notes from BE)
“Still you guys keep on waiting and supporting me so it becomes my strength and makes my heart beat more”
Also the ridiculous narrative that JK is too insecure to release his own music has got to stop! He’s not the young boy from 2013 that just debuted! He’s a talented, brilliant 23 year old singer, song-writer, producer, composer, with his own opinions and thoughts!
Jk was not too shy or insecure to voice his thoughts on “Jamais Vu.”
Hobi even said he was in charge of the big picture and was basically the producer. Not only did he openly voice his opinions but the others respected what he had to say and listened to him:
When JK collabs with another artists, he doesn’t sit back passively, but will confidently describe his own vision for a song. Look at how he interacts with Puth here:
This isn’t related to singing but we can clearly see Jungkook isn’t afraid to provide his own critiques to the others, dispelling this idea of a shy insecure boy:
This video also clearly demonstrates the amazing advice and wisdom jk has to give to others! Showing again that he’s secure in his abilities as a singer and performer:
Again, giving advice like the confident king he is!!
At the young age of 23, Jungkook is already so accomplished! He’s more than ready for his own solo work. Take a look at his updated Apple Music profile that doesn’t even list everything he’s done in his career so far:
He’s been credited as a producer for 3 songs on BTS albums (LINO, Magic Shop). Just on the new BE album alone, he’s credited for 4 different roles: MV Director, composer/song-writer, production coordination, and background vocal!
Jk is credited for writing & composing
-Your Eyes Tell, Run, We are Bulletproof Pt.2, No more Dream, Autumn Leaves
-Also, Stay and Telepathy on the BE album
-He also co-wrote “My Time”
-He’s also produced the critically acclaimed and fan beloved song “Still With You”
Another argument is JK’s words back during Burn the Stage. During that time years ago, he wondered if he could do something on his own without the rest of BTS. Firstly, this was years ago and secondly, it’s b/c he wasn’t given that opportunity that he wondered if he could do it.
But that doesn’t mean he didn’t want that opportunity to do something on his own. Take for example his 2020 interview with Weverse:
“I have this feeling of wanting to throw myself at some challenge alone”
In that same interview, you can listen to his own words and see how he strives for individuality and solo recognition:
“I want want to show people who I am...I want to be appreciated as Jung Kook, as the real me”
What about all those times he’s expressed his desire to do something on his own? Do those words not matter?
“I want my own solo stage too”
“I’ve never been in a shoot like this...not even during Euphoria”
“But I hope I get to the point where I can perform alone for 3 or 4 hours”
As the main vocalist and someone so opinionated with his own artistic vision, and clearly wanting his own solo work it’s a little strange that...
He’s the only one to have no intro, no comeback trailer, no solo work as of yet!

Not to mention that Jungkook’s mixtape has been one of the most anticipated by media and fans alike:
In conclusion,
-Jungkook has been planning jjk1 from at least 2018
-the delay in its release is due for possibly many reasons including his desire for perfection
-jk has openly expressed his desire for solo work multiple times +
-he’s not an insecure child in fear of going solo
-at 23, he’s already accomplished quite a career as a composer, producer, writer etc.

In short, jk is ready for his solo career!

Let’s end with his inspiring 2021 message to us:
Disclaimer: this thread is not about having jk leave bts. It’s only referring to having him get the same opportunities as the others who have released solo music simultaneously as bts albums!

-Do not respond with hate toward any of the other members!
