independent media, the UN and diplomatic representations in Kabul launch an investigation into the matter. There are serious allegations of killing of the civilians, torture, and deprivation of medical assistance to those injured. If true, these constitute gross violation of 2/4
human rights requiring immediate attention. An independent reporting on the issue is critical also for helping constructive and healthy public engagement with the issue. The govt has reportedly shutdown telecommunications in the area and this has made access to 3/4
to verifiable information extremely limited. Considering this, it’s imperative that the international community, right groups and the independent media in #AFG take action to help address the problem by bringing transparency and helping accountability. 4/4
