TV - The Great Hypnotizer đź“ş

I stopped watching cable TV and Netflix years ago. When people come over to my home they get bored. The television screen has become a must have staple in everyone's life.

"But what do you do then?" is the most common answer.

1/
For many, the television screen has become an extension of their being. A limb that one cannot go without. A void has been created in their life to make room for the TV and when the TV is not there a void remains.

2/
"I read, write, create, plant..."
To put it simply, I do other things. The void the television makes in one's life pushes out other aspects of creativity. It fills ones head with an artifical reality and thus true reality becomes dull and boring.

3/
The television had me once, but nature 🌱 called to me and I came running. Being in nature always gave me a certain satisfaction the television screen never could. Nature inspires me and captures my attention like the snap of a twig!

4/
Nature is better than TV. Nature is everything the TV tries to be and fails. When one is with nature and truly beholds it's magnificence, the television becomes an object of fantasy and fakery.

5/
Nature contains all the elements of life. All the ingredients and all the recipes are in nature. Nature is teacher and student. Harsh and healing. Strong and graceful. Nature is the great destroyer but also the great creator. It is in nature you will find salvation, not TV.
