Romance is not dead, people just lack creativity.

This can be said about many things to do with our microwave generation.

One thing about women is they like to feel known/considered when they date. Don't order her flowers because you think that is what men do for women they are dating, that is lazy and this is not Hollywood.

Ask questions, observe and see what they like and meet that need/want.

One of my favourite gifts in the early stages of dating someone was when he got me candles for Valentines day. It was cute because I didn't tell him I liked candles, he said he just noticed I had a lot of candles in my room and knew it was something I liked.

The truth is it easy to do the expensive stuff if you are not thinking about what the person likes and you are just being generic.

I'm not ungrateful, so I will tell you thank you but I will not be convinced you are into me like that if you don't take time to consider me.
