Popped over to @BMBargains_ today for supplies. Walked past this small aisle of children's underwear and pyjamas.

Can you guess what's coming?

Girls: Be Magical! (What does that even mean?)
Girls, Be Cute!
Girls, Be Super Sweet!
Girls, Be Princesses.
Girls get cute, magical, passive images for every day of the week.
Dreamy, sweet, compliant.
Boys get to Score Goals in an active, sporty way.
Boys get tech!
Boys get spaceships!
Boys get dinosaurs! All the science, basically.
Boys are Monsters! Noisy, badly behaved, because that's just the way you want to label your child, isn't it?
Boys get more sport!
More space imagery.
More goals!
More gaming tech!
@BMBargains_ , do girls never play sport? Do they never play computer games or use earphones? Are they never interested in space or dinosaurs?

Apparently not. They like sugar.
And fantasy.
And following flippin' rainbows.
You CAN do it, @BMBargains_ All you have to do is label this stuff as for Kids, then mix it up in one block rather than an obviously pink section and blue/black/camo section.

YOU WOULD SELL MORE.
And in the meantime, girls wouldn't get the message that their job is to look cute and dreamy while boys get to do all the active, sciencey, sporty stuff in life.
I've opened my account in the hope @BMBargains_ might see this thread. However, I will state here that I do not give the Mail permission to use any of these images.
Tagging in @bmstores as these are their products and the message is for them.
