IS 1000 TRUE FANS YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

In 2008, kevin kelly [former wired editor in chief] stated in his essay "1000 true fans" that to live a comfortable self-employed life - portrayed as achieving a $100,000 a year salary👇👇👇

You only need 1000 true fans to buy from you, where purchases would each yield $100 in profit

A true fan is defined as a fan that will buy anything you produce. These diehard fans will drive 200 miles to see you sing
They'll buy the hardback, paperback and audible versions of your book

They'll purchase your next figurine sight unseen; they will pay for the “best-of” DVD version of your free youtube channel; they will come to your chef’s table once a month
If you have roughly a thousand of true fans like this (also known as super fans), you can make a living — if you are content to make a living but not a fortune.

Here’s how the math works. You need to meet two criteria

First you've to create enough each year that you can earn
On average, $100 from each true fan

That's easier to do in some arts and businesses than others, but it's a good creative challenge in every area because it's always easier and better to give your existing customers more than it is to find new fans
Second you must have a direct relationship with your fans

That is, they must pay you directly, you get to keep all of their supports

Unlike small percent of the fees, you might get from a music label, publisher, studio, retailer or other intermediate
If you keep the full $100 of each true fan, then you need only 1,000 of them to earn $100,000 per year

That's a living for most folks, but the big questions are👇

What problem do they simultaneously experience that you Continually solve?
Why should they keep paying for the recurring solution?

Are they not going to drop off in 2-3 months time?

Will they not seek better alternatives?
The answers to these problems will obviously take their toll on this very product/service

This very time and tide especially, where thousands of startups rise up daily to explore and leverage on the loopholes of big firms and influential brands
That is, you need 500 loyal fans to buy a product of $200

You need 200 fans to purchase $50 merchandise

Indeed, you need not millions of fans, followers or prospects to push you above the average class milestones but the below
1. CREATE A LIFE CHANGING PRODUCT

A Business/product must answer two questions to thrive

➡️What problem is this solving
➡️Is there money in it

If your business answer these, it's a tell tale sign that it won't only flourish but also get free word of mouth advert from customers
2. BUILD A SOCIAL PRESENCE

if you spend weeks building a product spend years building a social media following

This will help save some advert funds unless you want more

A social media presence is an asset that over 80% of the world population knows nothing about
Not even celebrities with huge fan base

Just start one today for this reason
3. ESTABLISH A NETWORK

Strong network could change the entire game for you if you're ruthless about it, even with just $20 product

There are always people playing the game above and below you
Reach out to them, pitch your offer, if they find it interesting, appealing and resourceful

Come back to the drawing board

If your network delivers 500 monthly sales, which eqaul $10,000

Divided by 50% commission, you still get $5,000 net profit
Then multiply $5,000 by 12 months, we're talking $60,000

Now, your personal sales with full attractive digits are out of the picture
4. RUN SOCIAL MEDIA ADS

if you want more, a good or winning product could change your financial statement with the right application

You need not to re-invent the wheel, these e-commerce guys are already doing well with some products

Reach out to them
Visit affiliate website or market hub, scout for best selling product

➡️Set up your landing page
➡️Run facebook traffic to it

Or hit the $100,000 or more milestone with your existing product in question, all you need is to scale up from there
5. OFFER A SERVICE

If you don't have a strong work ethic or derive fun in what you do, you'd prefer selling to offering a service

Why?

Because you'd always thwart the essence of creating a job for yourself when you supposed to be free choosing entrepreneurship
Offering a service or skill is a yes, as you could earn a little over $10,000 monthly with just 2 potential clients or pull in the same figure offering 7-8 services per month

If you're practically solving a bigger problem totaling over $100,000 in annual income
Choose your sweet spot to build that beautiful paradise you've always aspired
