#ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

So much negative focus on the current need for temporary remote education.

Let’s remember why it’s necessary
@educationgovuk FAILED to plan, fund & implement the SCIENCE BASED safety measures required in all other indoor settings where households mix
And a direct result of this 👆between September and December we watched as teachers, school staff, pupils and their families became ill.

Some were hospitalised, some died, some still haven’t returned to pre-infection health, some never will.
Stop the negativity

No more talk of LOST learning or MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS or GENERATIONAL DAMAGE or CLOSED SCHOOLS

Alternatives;
-Interrupted learning journey
-Supporting children and young people with covid-induced anxiety
-building resilience factors
-temp remote education
Let’s highlight the positives this week

Let’s re-frame how we discuss temporary remote education

It may not be ideal for all, but it’s not forever.

Everything in life has a beginning, a middle and an end.

Let’s stop the alarmist negativity.
Instead let’s be thankful our children aren’t being added to the alarming #LongCovid numbers right now.
