Hey, how about we leave this kind of shit behind in 2021?
A fursona is a personal expression of who you want to be seen as. Shaming people for what they chose is fucking gross.
It might be "just a joke" but it can really effect people and sway them from designing what THEY want. https://twitter.com/murgzt/status/1351212765252362243

I know its probably a joke. Thats not the issue. But when I first joined the Fandom I stayed away from making the fursona *I* wanted to make because of other people. While this might be a joke, it exists amongst a culture of telling others what their sona SHOULD be.
Friends told me that nobody would draw a pig, that if I made them plus sized then I would be shamed as a "fat-fur". So I made a twink rabbit and continued to feel bad about the character choices I would have made otherwise.
I wasted about a year and a bunch of cash on art I didn't really like because I had a character I didn't really like. It wasn't until I was deeper into the fandom that I had the courage to change to the sona *I* wanted, not the sona I felt I should have.
So yes, this might be a joke, but its a joke that backs up a harmful culture of telling others what their sona should be. If you can just see it as a joke, good for you. Not everyone had the good experience you have.
I want this culture to stop.
