📍A thread. @RishabhPant17

Rishabh Pant's father was ill for a long time. He passed away in Roorkee on April 7, 2017. He went home to attend his father's funeral.
Just after a few hours, he played a match against RCB. Not only this, he went on to score some crucial runs for his team. He was the only hope of his team in that match. They lost the match.
But his knock will be remembered forever.
Let's talk about the time when he was 12. He used to travel to Delhi in order to take part in practice sessions in an academy. He and his mother used to sleep in a Gurudwara in Delhi. They did not know anyone from Delhi so had to do this.
On the advice of his coach Tarak Sinha, he decided to play for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit instead of Delhi. He represented Rajasthan at U-14 and U-16 level. He was subjected to discrimination as he was an outsider.
He moved back to Delhi to continue playing. In 2015, at the age of 18, he made his first-class debut in Ranji Trophy for Delhi. He went on to score a triple century against Maharashtra at the age of 19 years and 12 days.
He played some brilliant knocks in the U19 World Cup of 2016. He scored 74 runs in just 24 balls against Nepal and scored a century against Namibia.
The IPL Entry:
He was bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for a price of 1.9 crores. After his staggering knocks in IPL, he was selected in the Indian team for the England series (T20).
Test Debut:
Rishabh was named in India’s Test squad for the series against England in August 2018. HE SCORED HIS FIRST TEST RUNS WITH A SIX. He went on to score his maiden century.
He became the second-youngest wicket-keeper and the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a Test century in England.
Later, in Australia test series, he took 11 catches, the most by an Indian WK in a test.
ODI Debut:
He was given his ODI cap on 21 October, 2018. The match was against West Indies. PANT GOT SELECTED FOR THE 2019 WORLD CUP AFTER SHIKHAR DHAWAN GOT INJURED.
Some of his best knocks:
128* vs SRH (2018)
97 vs GL (2017)
78* vs MI (2019)
114 vs ENG (2018)
58 vs WI (2018)
159* vs AUS (2019)
71 vs WI (2019)
97 vs AUS (2020)
89* vs AUS (2021)
In January 2021, during the fourth Test against Australia, Pant became the fastest wicket-keeper for India to reach 1,000 runs in Test cricket.
