*these* are the nights the NBA has to fix for their own sake. 3 awesome games come down to the final seconds all at the same exact time while Lakers/Celtics are in a dogfight on national tv. not a single person can keep up with it all.

solution: stagger start times by 5 minutes!
im still tilted by this so bear with me while i thread.

since there is no nightly NBA RedZone, stacking games all at the same time benefits nobody except those with multiple TVs and/or a laptop + WiFi strong enough to support League Pass quad box, which is maybe 5% of consumers.
u are asking non-diehards to move mountains to experience the league at its regular season best: close finishes live. this was (finally) that night! and unless they were on social media, they probably missed 3 of the 4. diluting the product will never help those precious ratings.
it's not an easy solve. television deals, union workers, arena workers, arena scheduling, etc. all impacted by drastic tipoff time changes. but the NBA has a chance to fix it -- they haven't finalized the second half of the schedule yet. so what i propose is really quite simple!
if there are 4 games scheduled to begin at 8:10 PM ET, like tonight, spread the tip off times apart so that the chances of them all ending simultaneously decreases drastically.

8:00
8:05
8:10
8:15

no RedZone, no problem. all you need is a remote and to press "Channel Up"!
this will make a lot more diehards AND mainstream sports fans feel like League Pass is worth the $! im trying to help!

alot of people think the regular season is pointless (its not) so u need to prove it to them, and the best way to do it is easy accessibility + user experience.
this just doesnt exist rn on high volume slates. the "avalanche of game winning plays happening at the same exact moment" was destined to occur, ive been warning about it for years, and i hope the NBA uses tonight to figure out either an OTT strategy or at the very least: stagger
