Michigan Regent and presumptive incoming head of the Michigan GOP Ron Weiser sent a picture of a bikini-clad woman to fellow regents last May.

Following the Capitol Riot, Weiser took heat for being seemingly oblivious to the attack. Saying he had been watching Michigan Basketball and had oral surgery earlier in the day. Per @BridgeMichigan https://www.bridgemi.com/michigan-government/incoming-michigan-gop-leader-my-co-chair-didnt-incite-pro-trump-riots
Weiser was also catching flack from University of Michigan students and faculty. Per @michigandaily https://www.michigandaily.com/section/news-briefs/petition-calls-resignation-or-recall-u-m-regent-ron-weiser
Under pressure, Weiser sent a letter to his fellow Regents asking them to speak up on his behalf. He likened their silence to those who allowed Nazis to come to power. Weiser also wanted UofM President Mark Schlissel to issue a letter of support.
Weiser - who is known to participate in Regent meetings clad in a bathrobe - is set to become the co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party next week.
Weiser’s presumptive co-chair, MeShawn Maddock organized protest buses to DC in the days before the Capitol Riot - where pro-Trump extremists overran the Capitol leading to the deaths of multiple people.
Calls to Weiser went unreturned.
I was unable to obtain anything other than ‘no comment’ from one of Weiser’s fellow regents.
Thank you for listening to, and citing, @wdet
