If you don’t know what HB20 is, it’s to create a voucher program so if you aren’t enrolling your kid in public school (like, private school) you can get money back (around $3,700) from the district aka out of the education budget.
...average cost of private ed in NH is $19k/year, so that rebate isn’t going to really “help out” with that situation, rather it undermines public ed funding. Also there’s a lot of other bad crap with it.
AND it’s called an “education freedom account” so with a name like that you know it’s gotta be crappy.
And in the case of homeschooled students, to enroll in this program you have zero (0) district services. So if you needed a district speech pathologist or OT or other services (which are still available if homeschooling) you’re SOL
