Hello everyone and welcome to #PuppyBookClub! Tonight we are going to have a look at e-books! E-books can be accessed through different apps or using special devices like e-readers! My Aunt Sara has helped me in understanding some features of e-books! (See thread 1/10)
There are many great aspects of e-books including having lots of books in one, portable space; don't require physical space; instant accessibility; large selection; adjustable font and brightness; built in dictionary; and many e-books can be very affordable or even free! (2/10)
Some drawbacks can include devices require charging; e-books can't be lent out/shared with friends; they can't be autographed; some devices can be expensive and are not very colorful and they don't appreciate in value like some books can! (3/10)
Tonight we are giving an e-book a whirl and reading "From the Dog Shelter to the White House: The Story of Major Biden"! This story is by Kalea Martin and Kennedi Rianne! Aha and I have invited my stuffie Blue Dog to join us tonight! (4/10)
We are introduced to Major Biden and learn he is moving to the White House! He looks at a big wall of pictures of past anipals who have lived in the White House before him! He remembers a time before he met his parents when he lived at a shelter! He felt very lonely! (5/10)
He liked when people would come visit! He would wait and worry and hope! Everyday he wished for a family! (6/10)
Then one day he met a nice person named Ashley Biden! She told her parents Joe and Jill about him! When he met Joe and Jill it was meant to be! Major was adopted and found his forever home! He was so happy! (7/10)
Major also got a furbro named Champ! Major got to eat a big dinner and meet the rest of the family, including Joe and Jill's grandkids who he could play with! Oh how nice! (8/10)
Major is very happy! And now since his parents have moved to the White House, he has too with the rest of the family! He will be the first shelter dog to live there! His family is helping make others aware of pet adoption with this book and many fundraising efforts! (9/10)
